September 5, 2007 Seattle, WA - Pacific Property Company expanded their portfolio of Seattle apartment communities by acquiring 294-units in the master-planned community of Harbour Pointe in Mukilteo, WA. The $47,000,000 purchase of On the Green at Harbour Pointe marks the 9th Seattle acquisition for the Palo Alto, CA based firm since 2005.
On the Green at Harbor Pointe is Pacific Property Company's second acquisition in Snohomish County, following their 2006 purchase of Woodcreek Apartments in Lynnwood. Dave Schumacher of Columbia Partners represented both the Buyer and Seller in this transaction. The Seller was Legacy Partners of Foster City, CA.
Jesse Mack, Vice President of Acquisitions in Pacific's Seattle office, negotiated the purchase. He comments that, "the purchase of On the Green at Harbour Pointe represents the firm's objective to acquire quality assets of size in submarkets that demonstrate superior fundamentals. Mukilteo is Snohomish County's premier neighborhood community with a high barrier to entry, seaside location, family-oriented master plan layout, first rate school system, and immediate proximity to Washington's largest employer, Boeing. Mukilteo is also in the beginning stages of a growth and improvement plan which includes the construction of Mukilteo Town Center, a pedestrian-friendly urban village, and the redevelopment of Mukilteo Station, the region's main transportation hub. This acquisition allows our firm to invest in a highly sought after submarket and participate in the tremendous growth scheduled for Boeing in the coming years."
On the Green at Harbour Pointe enjoys a unique setting as a large portion of the units are either directly adjacent or have views of the award winning Harbour Pointe Golf Course. The Property features numerous ponds and fountains, indoor and outdoor pools, a spa, and a very well amenitized recreational facility. Pacific plans a comprehensive renovation to the building exteriors, interiors, and common areas in order to reposition the property as a highly desirable 'A' product offering.
Pacific Property Company is a privately owned multifamily investment company seeking to acquire large apartment investment opportunities on the East and West Coasts.
